Rocío Montes

Rocío Montes Comino, born in Rute, in the south of the province of Córdoba. She holds a degree in Tourism from the University of Córdoba and a Master’s in E-Tourism from the University of Málaga. At both institutions, Rocío received the Extraordinary Award for excellent grades.

During her university studies, she also attended various courses and workshops to complement her training. Among these courses, the following stand out: Advanced Course in Social Media and Community Manager, Children’s Entertainment, Chinese Tourism Management, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism. Due to her curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills, she has recently completed: Train-the-Trainer, Cultural Management, Introduction to Big Data and Business Intelligence, Environmental Education and Interpretation, Food Handler, and Tourist Entertainer Course.

In 2018, she joined the Sextaplanta team, initially through the internship programme and later becoming part of the Revenue Management team.

In 2019, she took part in the International Cultural Tourism Congress with the publication Towards consolidation as a tourist destination: The Iznájar reservoir and its surroundings. In previous editions of CITC, she attended in person to learn about the latest developments in the cultural tourism sector.
