Revenue management is a revenue management strategy based on consumer behaviour, where availability and price are optimised to maximise profits. The main objective of revenue management is to sell the accommodation unit that best fits what a given customer is looking for, at the most opportune time, at the best possible price, and through the most profitable booking channel in the long term.
Do I need a PMS to work with Sextaplanta?
Yes, you need to have a PMS in order to work with us. The PMS must be cloud-based so that Sextaplanta’s revenue managers can access the statistics. If you do not have a PMS or your PMS is not cloud-based, we offer you SIX, Sextaplanta’s cloud-based PMS, easy to use and accessible from any computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
Do I have to contract a booking engine and a channel manager?
Yes, you need to have a booking engine so that your customers can book on your website, and a channel manager to sync with online travel agencies (OTAs). If you have not yet contracted these platforms or you are not happy with the ones you already have, Sextaplanta will advise you throughout the process of choosing which one best suits your hotel or tourist apartments.
If I contract the Revenue Management management service, can I stop worrying about everything?
Yes, when you contract the Revenue Management service, Sextaplanta takes care of everything related to the commercial side: we contact online travel agencies (OTAs), carry out your channel mapping, and set up your booking engine. Sextaplanta will make all price changes for you, load promotions and offers, and monitor all local events in your city.
What happens if there is an incident during a weekend?
Sextaplanta offers the service 365 days a year. This service is included in all the commercial revenue management plans we offer you, so you will always have someone looking after the marketing of your accommodation.
Social media management
When does Sextaplanta post on social media?
Sextaplanta uses a post optimisation tool that calculates the best times when most of your followers are online, and it is at those times that posts will be published.
How often will posts be published on social media?
Sextaplanta’s basic social media management contract includes an average posting frequency depending on the social network. However, frequencies and social networks may vary depending on the target audience and the type of product.
Does the service include any kind of design?
Yes, the service includes basic designs for some of the most relevant dates in the commercial calendar, such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or Mother’s Day.
Do I have to provide any graphic material?
Yes, you must provide us with all your brand’s graphic files and photo shoots of the establishment. In addition, during social media management we will ask you for photos of your day-to-day, of guests, or any other moment of your work that you want to publish on social media.
Web design
Do I have to contract hosting?
No, if you do not have hosting, Sextaplanta will provide one optimised to meet all Google speed and ranking requirements.
Do I have to set up the hosting and email accounts?
No, Sextaplanta will take care of everything. Once the service has been contracted, the email inboxes you need will be set up. And if you need help setting it up on your computer or mobile phone, we will do it for you.
Do I need to buy the web domains?
No, Sextaplanta does it for you.
Can I embed my booking engine in the new website?
Yes, Sextaplanta’s web projects are compatible with any booking engine.
How do I access the website statistics?
Sextaplanta includes the setup of your Google Analytics account in all its web projects. In addition to setting up the reports to be sent by email, so you will not have to access the platform to view your statistics.
Does the web project include a blog?
Yes, all Sextaplanta web projects include the blog module.
